Jim Spencer has focused on the intersection of media and technology throughout his career – starting with the introduction of the VCR while working in movie distribution, to the emerging World Wide Web while building MSNBC and AOL, to the evolution of search at Ask Jeeves.
Jim continues to focus on this intersection at the Media Convergence Group by building, managing and investing in social media tools and platforms, which people share opinions, experiences, and perspectives in an effort to live more informed lives. An early builder of social media technologies and services, Jim employs these tools to better understand what users wants so that they can be served the most relevant information.
