One Week Until Beta Roll Out
Newsy.com will roll out the week of October 27th. The team is focused on producing excellent content and spreading it throughout the web. Buzz about our site has already begun – we are looking forward to your feedback to help guide us to becoming a successful online video news web site!
Right Space, Right Time
This Time magazine article about how the under than 35-years-old set consumes news does a good job of explaining why Newsy.com is positioned to succeed. Newsy’s 2- to 3-minute videos synthesize and present global news from multiple sources and highlight the key differences in reporting … and they’re easy to digest.

Is Balanced Journalism Possible?
More than 70% of the US population thinks media coverage of the US presidential election will be biased.
Today, MSNBC removed Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews from the network’s election coverage – apparently in response to criticism about liberal political bias. There’s talk of a more middle-of-the-road replacement like David Gregory.
But is balanced journalism even possible in this opinionated show era? Fox News have enjoyed tremendous success by offering provocative commentary — and other media outlets are following suit.
Our service, to roll in the coming months, will show you how various media outlets cover a story – so that you can draw your own conclusion.
Game On
The first week in the newsroom went swimmingly – students are testing the technology that will power our ability to provide multiperspective news. Strategic communication students are learning the ropes of interactive PR – they are quick studies! Getting ready for the big announcement on Wednesday!
