This Time magazine article about how the under than 35-years-old set consumes news does a good job of explaining why Newsy.com is positioned to succeed. Newsy’s 2- to 3-minute videos synthesize and present global news from multiple sources and highlight the key differences in reporting … and they’re easy to digest.

More than 70% of the US population thinks media coverage of the US presidential election will be biased.

Today, MSNBC removed Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews from the network’s election coverage – apparently in response to criticism about liberal political bias. There’s talk of a more middle-of-the-road replacement like David Gregory.

But is balanced journalism even possible in this opinionated show era? Fox News have enjoyed tremendous success by offering provocative commentary — and other media outlets are following suit.
